The RNAP (photocopier) can READ the code, TRANSCRIBE the code in negative form and it can UNDERSTAND the code!!!

The copied strand with its specific arrangement of letters is called Messenger RNA, because it carries the MESSAGE (the recipe) for making a specific protein

Messenger RNA
The recipe copied from the DNA

Our hypothetical protein recipe has 18 nucleotides (letters). The largest protein, TITIN has ...

it’s time to leave

the recipe, and now

Colin the chef has copied down the Rock Bun recipe [all of it!] from the Hero Home Recipe Book. The book has been closed and put back on the shelf in the Reference Library and now Colin is looking forward to getting home and baking his delicacies. However, he must first of all EXIT the library

The same principle applies to the protein ‘recipe’ which has been copied by the RNAP. The protein will be produced outside the nucleus so obviously the ‘photocopy’ must get from inside the nucleus to outside the nucleus.
